The Method

of the Self.

Every Integria report is built on two distinct numerological traditions that have been studied, verified, and integrated over years of practice. Understanding where they come from and why they are used together is part of understanding what your report actually contains.

System I

Pythagorean
Numerology

c. 570 BCE

Pythagoras of Samos was not only a mathematician. He was a philosopher who believed that number was the underlying principle of all reality. Not matter. Not atoms. Ratio, proportion, and vibration. His school in Croton taught that every number carried a specific quality, a frequency that expressed itself in the natural world and in human life.

The Pythagorean system assigns numerical values to the letters of the Western alphabet in a sequential pattern: A=1, B=2, C=3, and so on through to 9, then cycling back. Your full official birth name is converted into numbers using this grid, and the resulting sums reveal the core qualities of your character, your natural expression, and the way others perceive you.

The Life Path number, derived from your date of birth, is the central pillar of the Pythagorean system. It describes the overarching theme of your life: the territory you are here to navigate, the qualities you are here to develop, and the direction your energy naturally flows. Every other number in the chart is read in relation to it.

What makes the Pythagorean system enduring is its internal consistency. The numbers do not describe personality types. They describe energetic patterns. Tendencies that manifest differently depending on where you are in life and how much you have done the inner work. A 7 Life Path in someone who has worked on themselves looks different from a 7 Life Path in someone who has not. The number describes the territory, not the outcome.

System II

Kabbalistic
Numerology

Hebrew mystical tradition

The Kabbalah is a body of Jewish mystical teaching developed and transmitted over centuries, with its most systematic expression in the medieval period through texts such as the Zohar. At its core, Kabbalistic thought holds that creation is structured by ten divine emanations, the Sefirot, arranged on a diagram called the Tree of Life. Each Sefirah represents a quality of existence, from pure being at the crown to physical manifestation at the base.

Kabbalistic numerology applies a different letter-value system than the Pythagorean one. Rather than sequential assignment, the Kabbalistic system uses the Hebrew alphabet's original numerical values, adapted for Western use. This produces different results from the same name. Not because one system is more accurate than the other, but because they are measuring different things.

Where the Pythagorean system tends to describe the structure of a person's character and life path, the Kabbalistic approach reaches toward the soul's orientation. The deeper motivations, the spiritual lessons, and the karmic patterns that run beneath the surface of personality. It is particularly useful for understanding what a person is here to learn, rather than simply what they are here to do.

The Kabbalistic system places particular emphasis on the Soul Urge number, derived from the vowels of the name, as the most intimate expression of the inner self. The vowels are considered the breath of the name. The part that carries the soul's signature. In an Integria report, this number receives dedicated interpretation alongside the Pythagorean analysis, allowing both the outer expression and the inner drive to be read clearly.

Why numerology

The oldest map of the Self

Every major civilization that developed writing also developed a system for assigning meaning to number. The Babylonians, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Hebrews, the Chinese, all of whom arrived independently at the understanding that number is not merely a tool for counting, but a language for describing the qualities of existence.

Numerology is not astrology. It does not require a birth time or a birth location. It does not depend on the position of celestial bodies. It works from two pieces of information that every person possesses and that cannot be altered: the name given at birth, and the date on which they arrived in the world. These two facts contain a numerical signature that remains constant throughout a person's life.

What numerology offers that most modern personality frameworks do not is a developmental dimension. The numbers describe not only who you are, but when. Which phases of life carry which energies, which challenges appear at which ages, and what the arc of a complete life looks like when read through this lens.

A well-prepared numerology report does not tell you what to do. It describes the terrain. It names the patterns that have been present since birth, the ones you may have noticed but never had language for. That recognition, for many people, is the most valuable thing the report provides.
